For best results Heatsavr should be applied once at the end of the pool-use day with the water temperature being 21ºc or higher. If the wind speed is too high and the pool is not protected by a wind break, then Heatsavr can get pushed to one side of the pool and is not as effective. Usually in these situations the wind dies off in the evening allowing Heatsavr to work properly. If the wind can be predicted daily then the application schedule should take that into account and Heatsavr should be applied after the wind has reduced.

The Heatsavr's performance can also be reduced in the area where the water is disturbed. You can reduce turbulence by facing the pool jets towards the bottom of the pool. If you have a fountain, the running time should be reduced as the evaporation effect of the mist will cool the pool incredibly.

Heatsavr consists of an active ingredient, which is the actual molecules which create the barrier and a spreading agent which is Isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The IPA actually evaporates within 15 minutes of applying the product leaving the active ingredient on the surface.

Add Heatsavr directly to the pool water at a rate of 30 ml. per 40m² of pool surface area (width x length). The product may be applied manually, or through the use of an automatic pump.
