High-Pressure System For Industries & Swimming Pools--continued
Technical Information
The operation of the collector is very simple.
The heat pipe evacuated tube consists of a copper pipe that is sandwiched between two aluminium fins, and then inserted into the glass evacuated tube. Acetone is put into the copper pipe, which vaporizes and rises to the tip (condenser) of the heat pipe where the heat is transferred to the water flowing through the manifold. The loss of heat causes the vapour to condense and flow back down the heat pipe where the process is once again repeated.
The copper header(cabezal de cobre): To provide maximum protection against corrosion due to heavly chlorinated water, the header pipe is made from high quality copper. Where the heat pipe enters the header is called the "heat pipe port". The tube is designed to match the shape of the heat pipe ports in order to maximize the contact area and to allow for a simple plug-in installation. To further enhance heat transfer and to firmly hold the tube in place, a thermal heat conductor silicone (included) is applied to the heat pipe condenser prior to insertion.
Instalacion
IMPORTANT: As the water pipes are the main source of heat loss in the system, the distance between the hot water tank and the collector should be minimized. All piping especially the inlet and outlet pipes of the header should be well insulated.
Scale formation is an issue in many regions of Mexico, as it gradually clogs pipes, adheres to fixtures, and forms on anything submersed in water in particular hot water systems. If the water supply in your region is "hard", we recommend that you install an electronic water conditioner called "Clearwave™. Over time, the Clearwave treated water helps solve hard water problems in the entire water system, including pipes, water heaters, showerheads and aplliances. Clearwave is available through Thermosol SA de CV & Aquacon SA de CV
